P Drive School of Motoring
Learn to drive in a manual or an automatic with local driving school P Drive School of Motoring. Gary Eves, owner of P Drive School of Motoring, now offers professional driving lessons in manual and automatic cars.
Gary has the latest National Cert IV qualification in Road Transport Driving Instruction and his main goal is to teach professional driving skills to clients, not only so they pass the test, but to become a safe and responsible driver, especially on the country roads of the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Most parents will invest a lot time and money into their child's education, learning to drive correctly is something they should also invest in, so their son or daughter will have lifelong skills behind the wheel of a car.
Readers of The Times can get their first 90 minute lesson at half price.
For more information give Gary a call on 0432 956 059 or check out the website for more information at www.pdrive.com.au.

Encounter Centre
Encounter Centre offers a range of courses and activities which encourage "lifelong learning" for adults.
On Monday mornings, English as a Second Language is for those who have migrated to Australia and need to improve their spoken and written language skills as well as try to understand our culture.
On Monday afternoons, "Literacy for Life" aims at those who have found that they need to improve their literacy and numeracy skills to gain employment, fill out forms, read signs etcetera.
On Wednesdays, Adult Literacy classes aim at those with an intellectual disability or acquired brain injury. On Tuesdays, Computer classes are ideal for those who have little experience with computers. The focus is on keyboard use, word processing, internet and email.
The courses are funded through a "Multi-Literacies" grant, an initiative of DFEEST through the South Australia Works program.
There is also a range of programs which give an opportunity for people with disability to express themselves through art, craft, music, exercise and improving life skills.
To help run these programs, the Centre has a great band of volunteers who assist as tutors and helpers. Other volunteers also help by making, painting and selling toys and small furniture items from our shops at 42 Armstrong Road and 16 Ocean Street, potting plants for our Garden Centre, as well as kitchen and administration duties.
The products are sold to help fund the programs for people with disability. New volunteers are always welcome! If you would like to attend one of the programs or to help as a volunteer, please contact Bruce on 8552 2995.
