Time to heat up for spectacular

MUD ‘N’ TARS: Come join in the fun at the inaugural ‘Day Road Spectacular’ being run this Sunday at the Mud ‘N’ Tars complex and club rooms, Day Road, Victor Harbor.

If you have ever wanted to come out and see first hand what the guys and girls have been up to all year here is the chance.

Have you been thinking of taking up the sport for 2010? Why not come out and see what you need and speak to the club on how to get started.

If your really keen to get a head start, a rally class will be in the race program on Sunday so enter your bike now and with a few safety items in tow you can be ripping round the track in you thirst for excitement.

Not into riding, why not try out being a flag marshall? Mud ‘N’ Tars committee is always grateful for people to take up a flag marshall role on race days, they would welcome you to come along on Sunday, make yourself know to the organisers, after some hands on training on the day, you will have the best seat in the house.

There are so many aspects to the Mud ‘N’ Tars club, as a totally committed community group, the club welcome all ages and walks of life, to come out and join the fun.

The Day Road Spectacular will again showcase the local talented riders and classes, with some new faces entering the rally class to try there old and new hands at the flat track racing track.

With a big bunch of kids in the club’s ranks you can be assured these well mannered little scamps will always be out there riding and giving it there best shot.

Local junior flyers Jack Prout, Ty Lynch and Jack Lyas are all having successful years and should be out there winding up from a busy year on the bikes.

Pee wee riders and small bike juniors will be out there demonstrating their talents to the crowd, including, Sammy Ashmoore, Cooper Ellbourn, family siblings such as the Watkins, Pfeiffer and Keach brothers and dynamo girl power favourite Kira Lynch.

With the club noted as having so many well behaved and respected kids, the club couldn’t name them all, but the Day Road Spectacular is a great chance for the club to showcase them to the community.

Come and see what they get up to, even nanna and pop should come out for a look.

Sponsors and presentation night will be held on Saturday night in a family fun event, presentations to the club’s 2009 champions and of course a big thank you to all those volunteers and sponsors who make things happen for the club through out the year.

Especially a big thanks to both the big local earth movers Traegers and Ellers for preparing and maintaining both the club’s state level tracks.

In a salute to the communities support of Mud ‘N’ Tars, the club invite you to come out to the track and enjoy a day at the races.

Bar and canteen will run all day and there is plenty of shade to stay cool. Gates open at 10am.
