TENNIS: This weekend sees the culmination of the 2009/2010 tennis season in the Great Southern Tennis Association, and the grand finals will be played out with hunger and desperation.
Last year’s division one runners-up Mount Compass have been the team to beat all season and are yet to lose a match.
Inman Valley will be out to upset them in what should be a competitive day of tennis.
For Mount Compass to claim the title, they will have to beat Inman Valley for a fifth straight time this season.
Over at Myponga the green and gold will be out in force as their two Division two teams do battle, with hometown bragging rights also up for grabs alongside a much-coveted premiership.
Division three will see favourites Back Valley take on Mount Compass, who will be competitive all day.
The B Doubles will be played out between Port Elliot and Hindmarsh Valley, which should be a close encounter with Hindmarsh Valley hoping their experience will get them over the line.
In the juniors, Myponga, Back Valley and Victor Harbor all have two teams each in the finals, with the results in all divisions too close to call.
