Fleurieu ANZAC Day services

Welcome to our guide to what's on Anzac Day across the Fleurieu. 

All events are scheduled for Thursday, April 25 with start times listed.

Lest we forget.


A dawn service will be held in the Memorial Gardens at 6am, followed by a gunfire breakfast.


Dawn Service at 6am followed by a sausage sizzle breakfast. All held at the Port Elliot War Memorial on The Strand.


Strathalbyn RSL Anzac Day Dawn Service will be held at the Strathalbyn Monument, Soldiers' Memorial Gardens from 6am.

After the service all in attendance are invited to the RSL Hall High Street, for the gunfire breakfast. Then the ex servicemen and women will disperse to go to the march in Adelaide.

From 6pm the ex servicemen and women will assemble at the Langhorne Creek Football Oval for the parade around the oval on the backs of utes, followed by both teams and the ex servicemen and women falling in across the oval with for the Ode and Flag Raising Ceremony, then the presentation of football medal. At 7pm the football game between Strathalbyn and Langhorne Creek will proceed.

The match is the sixth time Strathalbyn and Langhorne Creek football clubs have played on Anzac Day to honour the heroes who served during wartime conflicts.


The Tooperang War Memorial Hall Inc at Ashbourne Road, Tooperang will hold its Anzac Day Dawn Service at 6am. It will be followed by an egg and bacon breakfast. For further information contact Virginia on 0419 810 828.


The Dawn Service will be very popular once again with attendances continuing to grow, so it is advised for those attending to arrive at 5.30am for a commencement time of 5.45am.

Following the service, the Lions Club of Victor Harbor and Port Elliot will supply a gunfire breakfast as a community service.

Following the breakfast, the clubrooms on Coral Street will be open.


A march will start at 6.30am at Soldiers Memorial Park. The mayor of Yankalilla Malcolm Schlein, will perform the ceremony following the Dawn Service at  6.45am.  A barbecue breakfast will be served by the Yankalilla Lions after the service.
