McLAREN VALE – A man who allegedly sped through police cordon points on a motorbike at a fatal crash at McLaren Vale on Friday has been charged with multiple offences.

The 31-year-old Morphett Vale man approached a cordon point directing traffic around the crash site on Victor Harbor Road at high speed and evaded police at the cordon and another three cordons, before police arrested him for riding on a bike path at high speed at about 5.30pm.

He was arrested and charged with riding in a manner dangerous to the public, riding an unregistered and uninsured motorcycle, and breaching probationary licence conditions.

His Yamaha motorbike was impounded for 28 days, and he was bailed to appear at Christies Beach Magistrates Court on October 19.
