REGION – As part of a continued campaign focusing on drink and drug driving around schools, two of the region’s drivers were caught under the influence on Monday.
Police undertook more than 2000 breath tests on September 19, and a 42-year-old South Coast man was found to be more than three times over the legal limit, blowing 0.185.
There were 258 drug tests conducted across the state, and of the 12 positive tests, one was from the Fleurieu region.
The 45-year-old tested positively to methamphetamine while dropping children at school. He could face further consequences once forensic testing is complete.
Families SA were advised of offences where children were involved.
