WAITPINGA – A woman in her 60s was flown to Flinders Medical Centre after her car collided with a power pole at Waitpinga.

An SA Ambulance spokesperson said the woman sustained serious leg injuries and other injuries.

“She was transported by chopper to Flinders Medical Centre in a serious condition,” the spokesperson said.

The woman was trapped for some time before she was extricated from her Land Cruiser ute.

WAITPINGA – Police and emergency services are on the scene of a serious crash at Waitpinga, where a driver has been trapped in a car.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Range Road just after 9am on Thursday, where a Land Cruiser ute hit a power pole and the pole subsequently fell onto the road.

Initial reports are that the driver is trapped and there are serious injuries.

Police are directing traffic, as the road is closed between Waitpinga Road and Blockers Road.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.
