UPDATE: February 15, 12pm

Police have arrested and charged a Goolwa Beach man with arson following a house fire at Goolwa Beach on Tuesday, February 14.

The 45-year-old was arrested about 11.30pm that night.

He was bailed and will appear at Victor Harbor Magistrates Court on April 3.

STORY: February 14, 10pm

GOOLWA BEACH – A fire at a Goolwa Beach house on Tuesday night, February 14 is believed to have been deliberately lit.

Police patrols and fire crews responded to the fire at a house on Lundstrom Street at 7.30pm.

A loud bang was heard before the house’s occupant discovered a fire at the front of his house.

No one was hurt, but about $5000 worth of damage was caused.
