STRATHALBYN – Police attempted to stop a car driving without lights on St Andrews Drive, Strathalbyn about 12.45am on Sunday, March 12 but the driver refused and sped away.
Police spotted the car shortly after and the driver drove at the police car before speeding away again.
An investigation began and later that day officers arrested a 42-year-old Strathalbyn man.
He was charged with driving with no light, engaging in a police pursuit, and driving in a manner dangerous.
His car was impounded for 28 days and he will face Mount Barker Magistrates Court on May 4.
