VICTOR HARBOR – Rotary Club of Victor Harbor has presented this year’s recipients of the Dr Fred Heddle Scholarship.
At a march meeting held at the Victor Harbor Yacht Club, president Andrew Robertson and Youth Services chairman Malcolm Haythorpe of the Rotary Club of Victor Harbor, presented this year’s awardees Zoe Wade, Liam Stoldt and Zahrna Manley to the membership and guests for the evening.
Malcolm Haythorpe commented on all the applications received this year, which showed exceptional high academic results, also with a great amount of enthusiasm and excitement at the chance to follow their personal goals.
The scholarship facilitates the recipients to follow their goals and to become community leaders.
The three successful students addressed the meeting explaining their desires for their future.
Zoey Wade studied and graduated from Investigator College, and then as part of her gap year spent five months volunteering in the Philippines with mission work assisting children from the slum areas.
