Rehearsals are well underway for Investigator College’s adaptation of the classic comedy film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, with over 50 students from year seven to 12 involved.
Year 10 student Harrison Golledge has the lead role of King Arthur, a pompous man out to gather a group of brave young men to be his Knights of the Round Table.
He finds the strangely flatulent Sir Bedevere (Coleman Kain), the handsome Sir Galahad (Jude Mills), the brave Sir Lancelot (Alec Morris), and the-not-quite-so-brave-as-Sir-Lancelot Sir Robin (Jo Kelly). They are charged by God to seek the Holy Grail, but this is not easy.
Guided by the Lady of the Lake (Isobel Pitt), the Knights travel across the world encountering rude Frenchmen, the legendary Knights of Ni, and a mysterious enchanter known only as Tim.
This talented group of youth has worked hard to bring the quirky story to life.
The show will be performed at Investigator College Performing Arts and Sports Centre on June 29 and 30 at 7.30pm and July 1 at 2pm.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for concession, available at www.trybooking.com/PPJO
