The South Adelaide under 18s went into the bye weekend on June 17 on top of the premiership table after winning the top of table clash on Sunday, June 11.
In the SANFL Under 18 competition South Adelaide advanced their development again with a 12-13 (85) to 8-9 (57) victory against Woodville/West Torrens.
A goalless second term where the visitors hit back hard meant the young Panthers faced an eight point deficit at the long break.
However after half-time, South stamped their authority on the contest with eight goals to three and a 28 point victory.
Representation of elite talent from the Great Southern Football League is in no small way assisting South Adelaide to perform at a respectable level in the tough under 18 SANFL competition.
Nathan Krueger from Victor Harbor took seven marks and kicked three goals providing a dangerous target up forward. Also providing a headache for the Eagles defenders was the elusive Job Colwell from Willunga with two goals and plenty of assists.
Kane Milford, also from Willunga, showed his customary dash and laid four important tackles, while in the back half, Jackson Elmes from Victor Harbor and Jimmy Bradford from Encounter Bay and Goolwa/Port Elliot showed strength and dash as part of a tight defensive effort.
