On Saturday, Breakers A grade made the long trip to Elizabeth to take on Elizabeth Downs.

The Breakers were making all the early play and thought they had scored five minutes in when Jed headed in a cross from Flo, only for the linesman to flag for offside.

This did not deter the Breakers team that was hungry for goals and were playing great team soccer.

They scored their first goal after some neat build up work between Jed and Aaron to lay on a pass across goal for Jason to finish neatly.

Then on the 26 minute mark the floodgates began to open, Josh scored a header from a corner to make it 2-nil.  Then five minutes later the Breakers were three up when Jed headed in at the back post from a cross by Jason.

Jonny made it 4-nil with a nice left footed finish to the bottom right corner after some good build up work from Aaron. The first half ended 4-nil with the Breakers totally dominating and goal keeper Colsesy not having to do too much at the half way mark of the match.

The second half continued in the same fashion as the first, with two more goals from Flo and a nice strike from Jason to the bottom corner to give the keeper no chance.

With 20 minutes to go Jason went into goal and Colesy went up front to taste some of the action.

With three minutes to go he won a penalty after being brought down in the box, but unfortunately Jonny missed, and the game finished 7-nil.

All players played well,a s reflected by the scoreline. Next week the A grade has a bye and then it is Murray Bridge at Breaker Park, Port Elliot on July 1.
