Goolwa woman Daphne de Caux was joined by family to celebrate her 90th birthday last month.
Daphne was born on June 6 and has lived in Goolwa for about 30 years. She is a resident of West Park Residential Living.
Family members travelled from Queensland, as well as the upper and lower South East and the Eyre Peninsula, to enjoy lunch at the Goolwa Hotel on June 11.
A highlight of the day was enjoying a delicious cake made by Daphne’s granddaughter Emily Miller.
There are five generations in her family; she and her husband, who is now deceased, had six children, 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She is a massive fan of the Irish singer Daniel O’Donnell, and was pleasantly surprised to receive a birthday card sent from him from Ireland.
