FLYING BILLY: Victor Harbor youngster Billy Wade has taken the competition by storm and flies to take a speccy against McLaren's Daniel Marr.

Round 14 had its usual surprises with none bigger than Strathalbyn travelling to Willunga and defeating the top side and flag favourites by 26 points.

Langhorne Creek continue to rise, as they dismantled Encounter Bay by 74 points. The Hawks are the sleeper of the competition and will play finals. Goolwa/Port Elliot kept their place in the five with a 29 point win over Myponga/Sellicks, Mount Compass defeated Yankalilla by 19 points and Victor Harbor are still alive in 2017 after they defeated McLaren by 53 points.

With only four rounds to go the five could be set by Saturday night if the Magpies can roll the Roos. It is Victor’s chance to make the inroads from sixth and with a defence boasting Fairhurst, Brown, Proud, Bartlett and Lindner, it could stop Goolwa/Port Elliot from kicking a winning score.

Slattery to attack was a great move and vindicated with his four goal haul. Hicks, James Fry, Nissen and Cuthbert  are travelling well for the Magpies.

Kiss Of Death – Goolwa/Port Elliot by 20 points.

Mount Compass meet Willunga and this will be a classic. Burdett, Standfield, Beath, Tregenza, Sherry and Paterson against Hoban, Daniel, Parsons, Pittaway, Green and Corbett. What a classic.

Kiss Of Death – Mount Compass by 2 points.

Yankalilla play Encounter Bay and the Bays will need to bounce back to hang onto the slim hope of finals. It is the same brigade propping up the Bays with Miels and Davis- Neale doing the bulk of the work. Kay, Whittlesea, Mellow, Fitzgerald and Crawford are chipping in for the Tigers.

Kiss Of Death – Yankalilla by 13 points.

Langhorne Creek have goal kickers from unusual sources. How long has it been since Damien James has booted four goals in a game? Phenomenal effort from the normally hard working defender and Matt Tonkin is sheer class. Paech, Bartetzko, Ogilvie and Wade Hutchinson need some help if they are to go with the Hawks for four quarters.

Kiss Of Death – Langhorne Creek by 30 points.

Strathalbyn host McLaren and will be buoyed with two wins in succession. Steve Kahl and Zohar are playing well for McLaren with youngsters Goodieson and Marr. Strath have ideal support from George, Tucker, Hickey and Noske.

Kiss Of Death – Strathalbyn by 14 points.
