FIFTY FIFTY BALL: Mount Compass' hard running half back Tom Vitkunas can feel the pressure applied by hard nosed Willunga defender Chris Paterson on Saturday. Willunga won the top of the table clash by 21 points.

One thing is for certain, Willunga will win the minor premiership, the rest, anything can happen with three rounds to go.

Langhorne Creek has gone from a side which was struggling to hold a final five position to a chance to grab the double chance, while Victor Harbor has made a statement by jumping in to the five after Saturday’s round 15 matches.

The Roos are in a good position to claim a finals spot after the 60 point win over Goolwa/Port Elliot. In other games Willunga proved to be the best team in the competition by defeating the then second placed Mount Compass by 21 points, Yankalilla held on to defeat Encounter Bay by six points and now moved into second position, Langhorne Creek ran over Myponga/Sellicks to win by 76 points and Strathalbyn defeated McLaren by 44 points.

The match of round 16 is the game between Yankalilla and Langhorne Creek and if the Hawks can win, they will be half a game closer to a double chance spot. A loss will make it difficult.

Kellock, Perrey, Rothe, Derham and Basir against the run of Kay, Kane, Luke Bartlett, Brazier and Brannigan-Fisher will make for an exciting contest. Kiss Of Death – Langhorne Creek by 10 points.

Willunga take on the ever improving Roos and the inclusion of Bailey has given the side more strength in the mid field and up forward. The Collier boys, Altus and Standfield up forward will worry the Roos. However nothing seems to faze Fairhurst, Brown, Weetra, Ross and Wade.

Kiss Of Death – Victor Harbor by 7 points.

Goolwa/Port Elliot need to resurrect their game and quick. Kelly, Cinc, Shaw and James Fry are doing their bit, but an injury plagued McLaren may be the game the Magpies need get back on track. Gill and Adam Rigney will do their best to upset the Magpies.

Kiss Of Death – Goolwa/Port Elliot by 24 points.

Mount Compass take on Myponga/Sellicks and the Mudlarks with James and Wade Hutchinson and the inclusion of a fresh Duldig will make life hard for the Dogs. Green, Merritt and Ritter work hard when the stars are shut down and will be needed to stabilise their position in the top three.

Kiss Of Death – Mount Compass by 31 points.

Encounter Bay host Strathalbyn and both sides at their best can worry any side in the competition. Gould, Turner, Bonnes, Karpany and Allen are goers for the Bays while the Roosters rely on Clark, Vaninetti, Caesarowcz and Clamp.

Kiss Of Death – Strathalbyn by 2 points.
