The Great Southern Football League’s Mr Football and South Adelaide ambassador John Griffen makes his prediction for the big game.

An old athletics coach once told me "the difference between winning and losing, gold and silver, is just a little bit of effort". Well we saw Willunga go into a different gear last week against Yankalilla, they just upped the effort after their loss to Compass in the second semi.

They will need to sustain that effort to claw back the advantage over an even Compass unit. I don’t think Willunga will make the mistake of trying to match up Haskett on Pinyon, he will be released to create havoc elsewhere. The team that settles into their game, eliminates the stupid acts in footy and sticks to their game plan, will win. I just hope the umpires put their whistles away and let the game flow. Mount Compass by five points.
