The 139th annual Port Elliot show comes to the Port Elliot showgrounds this weekend and it promises to be a great event.
After the disappointment of last year, when the show was forced to be cancelled due to the flooding of the showgrounds, this year looks to be bigger and better than ever.
Organisers are anticipating a fantastic weekend for all visitors, with an action packed schedule across Saturday and Sunday.
With all the fun of the fair, the exciting entertainment program includes seeing the horses in action, harness events, dog trials and the ute muster.
Meanwhile, the pavilions are sure to be absolutely brimming with indoor exhibits including cookery, cake decorating, art, junior art, woodwork, home produce, needlework, lego, flowers and photography.
As regular visitors know, there is always something for everyone at the Port Elliot show.
Those those that enjoy the outdoors or those who would like a taste of country life, there will of course be all of the regular and beloved outside exhibits.
At these you will be able to come and see cattle, poultry, sheep, animals, reptiles, side shows and dozens of trade sites.
Highlights of this year’s show include two performances by the lovable Humphrey B Bear. He will take to the main stage and delight both young and old as part of the Noises for Kids show on the Sunday.
