At stumps on day two, Yankalilla have the upper hand being 4/69 after dismissing Goolwa for 69 runs.

It was a bad day for the Magpies as wickets fell right form the start. Hogben and Tyliss did not mess around removing the Goolwa openers and then Kerin, Bond and Jones joined in the wicket taking.

Maddern 28 and Ashton-Place 15, managed to reach double figures, whcile the rest of the batting line up succumbed to Kerin 4/16, Jones 2/4, Bond 1/18, Tyliss 1/9 and Hogben 2/16.

Yankalilla in pursuit of the 69, looked to be cruising at 0/25, but then Ashton-Place struck.

The Tigers lost 3/1 to be in the precarious position of 3/26, but Jones strode to the crease and hit a hard hitting 30 and along with Whittlesea pushed the score level with Goolwa. Jones was dismissed by Vincent, but set his side up for a first innings win.

Whittlesea is on 20 not out and will be the mainstay of the Yank innings, as scores a level and Yankalilla have six wickets in hand.

Ashton-Place finished day one taking 3/12 and Vincent 1/8.
