Eastern Districts Meet 3 (EDSA) was held on Sunday, November 5, at Strathalbyn.
Seventeen Great Southern Swimming Club members competed in individual and team relay events. Many personal bests (PB’S) were achieved. Eliza Duval earned the largest PB with 11.99 seconds off her 50m freestyle.

Lucas Hartley made his competitive swimming debut, placing in the top 10 in all four events and his team placing second in the relay.
Elijah Jucius took 3.74 seconds off his 50m breast and 3.04 seconds off his 50m free, Zoe Bruce consistently improved her times at each event, taking 0.49 seconds off 50m back, 1.49 seconds off 100m freestyle and 2.88 seconds off 50 breastroke, Prue Smith took 0.36 seconds off her 50m freestyle and seven-year-old Amelia Baker in her second competition took 3.51 seconds off her 100 freestyle and 0.27 seconds off 50m backstroke.
Aleesha Krichauff took 0.24 seconds off her 50m backstroke. Many swimmers at the meet achieved country championship or state times. Now it’s back to training in readiness for the upcoming EDSA meet 4 at Woodside on November 17.
