Encounter Lutheran College held an emotional Year 12 Farewell Assembly last Wednesday which saw family and friends celebrate the end of their school journey.
The cohort of 20 are only the second group to go through to Year 12 since Encounter transitioned to a R-12 College in 2012.
College Captain Henry Catt who has been at the College since Reception said that “leaving on Wednesday was surreal as Encounter has been like home for me for the past 13 years”.
“I can’t imagine waking up each morning and not putting my uniform on to spend the day with the amazing friends and teachers that I have been lucky to learn just be with,” he said.
These students, along with thousands of other in the State are now studying for their upcoming Year 12 exams.
A final celebration will be held for the Encounter Class of 2017 at a Gratitude Dinner later in November where the College community can acknowledge their hard work and achievements this year.
