As the festive season kicks off, holiday makers are being warned that the Cape Jervis Jetty will be partially closed until February for the safety of the community while emergency repair works are undertaken.
The remediation works will repair the jetty’s berthing structure, which has been pushed off alignment.
The partial closure will also ensure that Sealink services can continue to operate out of Cape Jervis and allow passengers to safely embark and disembark the ferry while repair works are underway.
Repair works for the jetty are expected to commence in the new year, with the jetty to be re-opened by February 2018, subject to the condition assessment findings, weather and Sealink operations.
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) advises the community to adhere to the restrictions in place on the jetty and thanks them for their patience.
