The Victor Harbor VIEW Club’s Christmas lunch meeting was held on December 19 at the Hotel Victor.

Three monster hampers were raffled that raised significant funds to support the core aim of VIEW, which is to help disadvantaged children and students get the most our of their education through The Smith Family Learning for Life Program.

Members have also been bringing donations for toys and books to help put a smile on a child’s face this Christmas.

Great entertainment at the lunch was supplied by the ‘Harborites’ Ukulele Group who really set the scene for a party celebration atmosphere.

Once again, for the 6th year, to commemorate International Women’s Day, VIEW and the Member for Finniss Michael Pengilly will host the Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island Women’s Community Awards in 2018.

Nominations are now being sought for inspirational women who have made, or are making, outstanding contributions to the region or have inspired others through their achievements.

The awards are a fantastic way for locals to honour the notable women in their communities.

Nominations will close on Friday, February 23 in 2018 and presentations will be made to the winners at the Awards Breakfast at the Hotel Victor on the Thursday, March 8.
