The Times has been an advocate for the Fleurieu Peninsula since 1912. The weekly paper covers towns including Victor Harbor, Port Elliot, Middleton, Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Myponga, Normanville, Yankalilla, Cape Jervis and Strathalbyn.
Significant events the paper has covered include the changing landscape of the Coorong, Lower Lakes and Murray Mouth, the debate about Secret Women's Business at Hindmarsh Island, mass bushfires at Middleton, the formation of Alexandrina Council in the 1990s and deregulation of the dairy industry.
In the early noughties, the paper ran a campaign to save the Rapid Bay Jetty.
It passionately follows the area's large art scene, particularly the Leafy Sea Dragon Festival and annual Rotary Club of Victor Harbor Art Show.
This is on top of the fabulous wine and fishing industries, vibrant sport culture and passion for youth development.
