STATE – The Local Government Association (LGA) of SA’s newest president is City of Onkaparinga mayor Lorraine Rosenberg.

Mayor Rosenberg was elected to the position in mid-December 2016, taking over from Mid Murray Council mayor Dave Burgess.

She said in a public statement she was proud to be elected and hoped to continue a “broad range of reforms initiated by the LGA's Board under his (Mayor Burgess’) leadership”.

“I also want to push ahead with the efficiency projects already underway, including boundary adjustment reform, supporting shared services, and benchmarking for our sector,” she said.

Alexandrina Council mayor Keith Parkes is a member of the Board.
