Police are investigating two suspicious fires believed to have been deliberately lit in the Hills overnight and this morning.
Just after 11.20pm on Monday, December 25, police and emergency services were called to Gorge Road, Paracombe, after reports of a grass fire.
CFS crews quickly extinguished the fire which burnt approximately one hectare of grass.
There were no injuries but the fire is believed to have been deliberately lit.
Just after 11.15am this morning, Tuesday, December 26, police and emergency services were called after smoke was spotted coming from a forest on Ironstone Road at Forreston.
An aerial bomber and CFS extinguished the small fire which burnt less than half a hectare of grass.
The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious.
Crime Scene Investigators have examined the scene of both fires and police investigations are continuing.
