Four aerial bombers dropped eight loads to help firefighters contain and control a fire which burned six hectares at The Range on Wednesday, January 18.
The Country Fire Service (CFS) was called to a property on Pottery Road just after 11.30am.
Over several hours, 82 firefighters worked hard alongside Forestry SA crews to defend several structures on the site and put out the blaze, which burned six hectares of grass and stubble on one property.
The fire was contained by 1.22pm and controlled by 11.06pm, but crews stayed overnight to mop up and ensure it did not reignite.
A CFS spokesman said initial investigations revealed the fire was caused by the use of slashers.
