Police will allege a group of five teenagers tried to break into a shipping container-turned-bar at Christies Beach early on Thursday morning, February 1.
A report of a group of people acting suspiciously around the pop-up bar on the Esplanade was received just before 2am, so patrols attended.
On seeing the police, the group ran away along the beach.
Police gave chase on foot and were able to arrest three of them, while the remaining two ran into a nearby caravan park.
Patrols brought in the dog operations unit to help find the remaining pair, and with Police Dog Ben and his handler helping, they located and arrested the suspects about an hour later.
Police arrested a 16-year-old Hackham boy, 16-year-old Morphett Vale boy, 16-year-old Sturt boy, 15-year-old Seaford boy, and 19-year-old Seaford Rise man.
Each teenager will face a charge of attempted aggravated serious criminal trespass, hindering police, and going equipped to commit an offence when they face Christies Beach Magistrates Court.
All five were bailed; the four underaged will appear in court on April 12, while the man will appear at a later date.
