Learn the basic skills of footy while having loads of fun.

That is what the Great Southern Football League is offering to kick start its female competition.

In 2018, the Great Southern Football League will have female under 13, under 16 and Open competitions.

After starting in 2017 with four clubs, the Great Southern Football League has flourished with eight teams participating in 2018.

Teams are Willunga, Victor Harbor, Mount Compass, Goolwa-Port Elliot, McLaren, Strathalbyn, Encounter Bay and Yankalilla.

Come down to Encounter Bay Oval to participate in a free footy skills session run by the GSFLW and learn more about the clubs on Sunday, February 11.

Juniors (under 13s) will start at 10am and run through to 11am, seniors and opens is from 11am to 12noon.

Barbecue and canteen facilities will be open, so it a day for the entire family and learn more about the game.
