Zest Theatre Group performs Wicked: The Musical at Victor Harbor Town Hall | PHOTOS

The Victor Harbor Town Hall was awash in green this weekend as Zest Theatre Group Incorporated presented its latest production, Wicked.

This is the back story to the familiar Wizard of Oz, and may disrupt long-held views of the Wicked Witch and Glinda.

Audience member Trish Clark, who had never seen the musical before, stated: “I now feel completely guilty about how I’ve felt about the Wicked Witch, Elphaba.”

Other audience members were in awe of the sets and the cast.

The Times gave away tickets to opening night and the winners congratulated Zest on the great production.

“My daughter and I were lucky enough to win tickets through The Times and we loved it. The cast were amazing, I highly recommend it to everyone,” Nicole Young said.

“We went on Friday night for the opening and it was fantastic. Well worth going, cast did a fantastic job,” Deb Knight said.

Some travelled for the show and said it was well worth it, and others recommended seeing the “top class production”.

There are three performances remaining: February 9 and 10 at 7.30pm, and February 11 at 2pm.

The Sunday matinee again includes a meet and greet with the cast, with photo opportunities, at the conclusion of the performance.

Tickets are available through www.trybooking.com, RAA Victor Harbor, or at the door prior to the performance (subject to availability).
