Property owners in the area are encouraged to consider security of unattended and portable equipment as thieves have been targeting dairies across the Fleurieu over the last week.

Thieves have stolen veterinary supplies, copper piping, pressure washers and water pumps from dairies at Yankalilla, Bald Hills and Torrens Vale.

SA Police said that locking items away can remove the temptation presented to opportunistic thieves and ensure a business can run smoothly with their valuable equipment remaining on the property.

Farmers should stay vigilant and look into security measures regarding their equipment.

Anyone with information regarding the thefts should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.crimestopperssa.com.au – you can remain anonymous.

Any suspicious behaviour should be reported to police on 131 444.
