This Saturday, March 10, The Homeless Grape Project, hosted by Vinomofo will be back again and giving volunteers a chance to pick grapes for their very own Shiraz.
Returning for it’s third year, The Homeless Grape Project is an initiative designed to raised funds for The Hutt Street Centre.
The event works by inviting a number of volunteers to the Inkwell Vineyard, here grapes which haven’t yet been picked by the Inkwell vintage team are picked by the volunteers and are then processed into a Shiraz; these bottles are then sold with full proceeds going to The Hutt Street Centre.
“The beautiful thing about this project is the coming together of so many people; from the winemakers, the growers, mum’s, dad’s and their children, all picking and working together to solve this issue of homelessness,” said Andre Eikmeier Vinomofo’s Ceo and Co-Founder.
Arrive at 8am for and 8:30am start, food, coffee and music will all be on the go whilst the picking is taking place.
