Stage two of the Victor Harbor Mainstreet Precinct upgrade approved by state government

Stage two of the Victor Harbor Mainstreet Precinct upgrade has been given the green light, thanks to $105,416 of funding from the state government.

Last month, Minister for Planning and Deputy Premier John Rau approved $4.6 million in funding for 17 projects across regional South Australia, including Victor Harbor.

Stage two will now incorporate the northern end of the Precinct, continuing on Ocean Street from the end of Stage one to Torrens Street.

The City of Victor Harbor has stated that plans for Stage two construction works would commence in May 2019.

Earlier this year, Ocean Street was one of five main streets across the state nominated as South Australia’s best street.

Victor Harbor lost the award to the main street in Coonalpyn, in the Murraylands.
