Recently the South Coast Neighbourhood Police donated a range of bicycles to Christies Beach High School.

The opportunity arose after the school reached out to SAPOL looking for a way to develop their ‘Enrichment’ program which has a focus on maintenance, remodelling and innovation.

SAPOL were then able to help kick-start this by donating 13 bikes which will be fixed by the students and then returned to the community.

“We are happy to be assisting the students and rewarding their interest and hard work," said acting Sergeant Scott Allison.

"Ultimately these endeavours will see bikes go to underprivileged students in the area.”

SAPOL have agreed to supply continual support for the program in the future.
