Yours Truly returns to Elliot

The Sydney-Adelaide collaboration which is rock band Yours Truly is coming back to the Fleurieu to perform at the Hotel Elliot on Saturday, May 19.

Ken steps out of the Urban Guerillas’ ‘Guerilla Radio’ tour for a night, while David puts his band Plan B to one side to pick up his guitar.

The boys will entertain all night as they plunder their own back catalogue, as well as present selections of their favourite songs by other artists and musicians.

It is not often that you get two frontmen from two different bands working together as a duo.

Understanding each other and reading each other’s moods and intensity keeps these two stalwarts of pop, mod and folky rock powering the songs into overdrive.

Entry to the show is free. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/events/575878746127410/

Monthly musical theatre night

CentreStage – Broadway is a musical theatre performance night which provides a chance for performers, irrespective of age, gender or background, to show their talent by singing a piece from the musical theatre genre.

The evenings are themed by musical, composer or sub-genre. At this month’s event, held at the Victor Harbor Bowling Club on May 13, the theme is gender swap.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm, and the night of entertainment runs for about two hours with an interval.

Tickets are $10 and are available on Try Booking’s website or at the door.

CentreStage – Broadway is held on the second Sunday of each month.
