It is not often the Great Southern Football League experiences massive scoring differentials. Yankalilla and Goolwa/Port Elliot were defeated by 178 points and 216 points respectively. McLaren accounted for the Magpies and the Demons defeated the Tigers.

In the other games, Victor Harbor ran over Strathalbyn by 65 points, Mount Compass beat Myponga/Sellicks by 51 points and Langhorne Creek came from behind to roll Encounter Bay by 12 points.

Hopefully round six will offer more competitive matches and there will be none better than Victor Harbor against McLaren. McLaren have Ellis, Watchman, Marr and Lawrie in great form, while the Roos are led well by coach Alleway. Fletcher, Weetra and Basham are also in superb touch for Victor. Kiss Of Death – Victor Harbor by 7 points.

Mount Compass play Encounter Bay and the Dogs look too strong with Ziggy Vitkunas hitting his straps and the Bays relying on Horrocks to score their goals. Kiss Of Death – Mount Compass by 20 points.

Strathalbyn play Willunga and the Demons with Burdett, Boyd and Hutchens should run the pants of the Roosters. Kiss Of Death – Willunga by 32 points.

Langhorne Creek and Myponga/Sellicks will be too strong for Yankalilla and Goolwa/Port Elliot.
