Myponga/Sellicks comprehensively defeated a disappointing Strathalbyn on Saturday. A forward set up of Hill, Ogilivie and Clarke could not be stopped, as they kicked 18 of the teams 23 goals for the match.

The Mudlarks won the game by 69 points after leading by only 24 points at three quarter time.

Myponga/Sellicks opened the better and Strathalbyn seemed to be wanting to stay in the rooms, as the Mudlarks booted 4-3 to a point at quarter time. Carroll was in everything for the Muddies, as was Merrett, Allen and Ogilivie.

In the second quarter, the Roosters came out to play and Marc Elliott was giving his team a good target to go to. The Roosters kicked 5-3 for the quarter, but Myponga/Sellicks still managed to keep some distance by booting 5-2 and lead by 24 points at the long break.

The third term had both teams going goal for goal and every time it looked as if Strathalbyn was getting to make a charge, the Mudlarks responded. James in ruck was doing everything he could to get Strath into the game and had his loyal onballers Tucker, Sterling and Sam Elliott working with him. The margin at the last change was still 24 points. The last quarter was all Myponga/Sellicks as they kicked nine goals to one. Hill booted his eighth, Ogilivie his sixth and Clarke his fourth to complete the rout.
