It is time to pay some respect to a side that has been in the wilderness for a few years and out of nowhere is in with a chance to play finals. Myponga/Sellicks is only percentage outside the five and is beginning to look the real deal in 2018. The Mudlarks thumped Strathalbyn on the weekend and building great confidence.

In two great games of A grade football, Langhorne Creek escaped from Victor Harbor with a draw in one of the best games seen in the GSFL for many years and Willunga hung on to win by four points against Encounter Bay. Mount Compass defeated a hard working young Magpie team by 71 points and McLaren defeated Yankalilla by 139 points.

Round 10 is full of blockbusters and leading the way is the clash between McLaren and Mount Compass. What defender will be given the task to mind Mutton. He is fresh from a 13 goal day out and is firing. McKenzie may get the nod, or the skipper Brokenshire will put up his hand. Fenoughty, Lawrie, Mathews and White will need to be at their best to counter Veide, Hoban, the Vitkunas boys, Marshall and Davis.

Kiss Of Death – Mount Compass by 7 points.

It might be ninth against 10th, but this will be a beauty. Goolwa/Port Elliot may not have another chance in 2018 to win a game, so it will be on from the opening siren. James Fry, Ferguson, Harper, Godwin-Knott and Shaw will be busting a gut to grab the two points. Jake Hogben, Laba, Fisher and Wilson will be striving just as hard to claim their second win of the season.

Kiss Of Death – Goolwa/Port Elliot by 2 points.

Myponga/Sellicks are the talk of the GSFL and although Victor Harbor have some honourable losses, they have still been losses. Carroll and the forward line of Hill and Ogilvie needs to be stopped and the likes of the Basham boys, Proud and Smedley will need to do it.

Kiss Of Death – Myponga/Sellicks by 1 point.

Langhorne Creek meet Willunga and the Hawks have Howell and Kellock in top form. The Demons rely on Beath at the stoppages and the defence of Ficken and Alexopoulos.

Kiss Of Death – Langhorne Creek by 11 points.

Encounter Bay host Strathalbyn and the Bays will be too strong with Karpany, Hooper, Kleinig and Crispin. Strath are too reliant on Marc Elliott to kick their goals.

Kiss Of Death – Encounter Bay by 34 points.
