What better way to spend a winter Sunday afternoon than warming up by dancing the hours away at the Mt Compass War Memorial Community Centre?

The Victor Harbor Social Dancing Association presented its annual Sunday Tea Dance there on Sunday July 1, and as usual it was very well attended.

The music, the afternoon tea, the dance programme and the dance floor were all praised, and everyone enjoyed a special social occasion without the need to travel to and from a venue in the dark.

It was so pleasing to see our Learners' class members come along and be able to join in with everyone else now that they have learnt a range of basic dances covering most of the rhythms encountered in the dance repertoire.

They particularly enjoyed the experience, and certainly gained in confidence as the afternoon progressed.

Our classes for Learners are held on Wednesday evenings at the V.H. Lutheran Church Hall on Adelaide Road.

Our Saturday evening dances are either at this venue or Middleton Pioneer Hall.
