Regional artists and community groups can access Country Arts SA grants for support of creative projects which inspire arts and cultural activity.

Step Out grants are for communities and artists to partner with professionals to create high-quality arts projects which will see long term benefits and increase professional development.

Step Up grants are for artists, organisations and groups to undertake small cultural projects, or for individuals across all art forms to undertake professional development opportunities, such as mentorships.

Country Arts SA chief executive officer Steve Saffell the first round of funding this year had projects focusing on science and the local marine environment to health and wellbeing, to writing.

“So even if you’re not sure if your idea is ‘arty’ enough, it’s worth taking a look to see if it will fit into the eligibility criteria,” said Mr Saffell.

Applications close August 15. For more info or to apply, visit www.countryarts.org.au/grants-funding/.
