Round 18 of the Great Southern Badminton Association at Investigator College Performing Arts and Sports Centre on Tuesday night saw Tonkin's Sport's; Matthew Woollacott, Prav Sacaran, Meredith Hough, Greg Beames, Sandie Sierke, Caitlin Stone, Allan Tonkin and Matthew Jones score 334 points to defeat Victor Podiatry Centre's; Dale Sheridan, Jacob Dugmore, Jannette Novice, Mezzin Sheridan, Beth Fidock, Julie Holdsworth, Rodney Beswick and Nina de Brequet with 260 points.

A Doubles: Dale/Jacob d Matthew/Prav 21-18, Jannette/Rodney d Meredith/Allan 21-19 and Rodney/Dale d Allan/Matthew 22-20.

B Doubles: Sandie/Prav d Beth/Jacob 23-21 and Nina/Beth d Matthew J/Sandie 21-18.

C Doubles: Beth/Julie d Sandie/Caitlin 21-14.

Singles: Dale d Matthew 21-15 and Prav d Jacob 21-13.

On Thursday night Hamper Warehouse's; Simon Brayford, Harris Tan, Harrison Fardell, Rainy Jiang, Joe van Dalen, Rodney Beswick and Caitlin Stone scored 258 points to defeat Fleurieu Milk Company's; Lochlan Hodge, Matthew Farmer, Jack Read, Josh Harvie, Beth Fidock, Ray Jackson, Robert Jones and Luke Hodge with 244 points.

A Doubles: Lochlan/Jack d Simon/Harrison 21-17 and Rodney/Harrison d Robert/Jack 21-17.

B Doubles: Rainy/Harris d Beth/Matthew 22-20 and Luke/Beth d Caitlin/Rainy 21-18.

C Doubles: Luke/Ray d Caitlin/Joe 21-18 and Caitlin/Rodney d Luke/Robert 21-17.

Singles: Lochlan d Simon 21-15 and Jack d Harrison 21-14.

In the other match McDonald's-V.H's; Sam Traforti, Belinda Cardall, AJ Bedell, Sarah Hill, Mark tenHoopen, Gavin Daniell and Zachary Daniell scored 283 points to defeat OJ Computer's; Matt East, Shayne Drummond, Amanda Stevens, Wesley Yap, Lynne Arbon, Brett Vermuelen, John Harvie and Adam Holdsworth with 239 points.

A Doubles: Belinda/Gavin d Amanda/John 21-17 and Matt/Shayne d Josh/Sam 22-20.

B Doubles: Zachary/Sarah d Adam/Lynne 21-16 and Brett/Shayne d Mark/AJ 21-17.

C Doubles: Wesley/John d AJ/Gavin 21-16 and Gavin/Zachary d John/Adam 21-16.

Singles: AJ d Wesley 21-16, Belinda d Amanda 21-12 and Sam d Shayne 21-12.

Round 18 also served as a catch up week. On Tuesday night the Round 9 fixture saw Stanvac Korean Autoparts score 334 points to defeat McDonalds-V.H with 320 points and on Thursday the Round 13 fixture saw Tonkin's Sports with 349 points to defeat Stanvac Korean Autoparts with 300 points.

This week sees another busy schedule with another two matches to be played on Tuesday night followed by three matches on the Thursday.

Tuesday social badminton and Thursday night competition will return to the usual routine by August 14. The GSBA will also hold it's AGM on Thursday, August 16.
