On Sunday, August 12, a Poultry Sale will be hosted by the Strathalbyn and Districts Poultry and Pigeon Club at the Port Elliot Showgrounds, Water Lane, Port Elliot from 8am until 12noon.

This is the third time a Poultry Sale will be held at Port Elliot, after a successful poultry show held at Port Elliot the last Sunday in July.

This special event is the only poultry sale held in the Fleurieu and South Coast area, and is growing bigger and more popular each year.

It is the ideal venue for those people looking for purebred poultry, pets and layers and not knowing where to go, as well as those wanting to sell birds.

Due to the pigeon virus no pigeons will be available for sale.

The sale is free to look at; the only charge being to sellers of $1 per bird, with all negotiations between sellers and buyers.

Club members are also happy to talk with the public with information on what to feed your birds, diseases, handling birds and presentation of birds for exhibition.

Incubators and Poultry Supplies will be in attendance to help you with your special poultry needs.

Sale enquiries: call Trudy Hull on 0419 842 660.
