The Goolwa Visual Arts Group is a place where many friendships are made while the artists produce a high standard of art including drawings, paintings and photographs.
The group hosts monthly workshops which include scratch boarding and painting animals, people and still life. So far, the artists have had two exhibitions at the Middleton Pop Up Gallery with another scheduled for December and January, thanks to the Middleton Craft and Arts Committee which gave the group the opportunity to display works.
Upcoming workshops will be run in the future for a small cost with well known artists such as Richard Rogers and Brenda Holden, while there has been a submission put to the Alexandrina Council to fund visits from more professionals artists.
The Goolwa Visual Arts Group annual general meeting will be held on August 28 with any person welcome to join the group for a minimal cost.
The group encourages anyone in the community to join them at the Scouts and Guides Hall in Goolwa North to see what they do. According to an organiser, the group will make visitors very welcome and even supply them with a cuppa.
