Port Noarlunga Surf Life Saving Club girls, Isabelle Thomas and Summer Corbett have successfully taken gold in the female U13 Line Throw Relay at the 2018 National Pool Rescue Championships.

Hosted at the Adelaide Aquatic Centre the 2018 National Pool Rescue Championships saw competitors from around Australia travel to Adelaide with the hope of claiming glory for themselves and their clubs.

Taking place over four days the championships include a variety of events such as an obstacle course swim, brick carries (while swimming) and even rescuing a mannequin from the bottom of the pool.

Isabelle Corbetts mum and Port Noarlunga Surf Life Saving Club secretary, Jacqui Corbett said the girls had come close a few times but finally got it.

“They’ve wanted it so badly, they were really, really excited when it all paid off,” she said.
