South Adelaide Panthers will take on Woodville-West Torrens Eagles this Saturday, August 18 in the SANFL’s Retro Round.

Coming into the round the Panthers will boast 23 Greater Southern Football League players and Southern Football League players between both the SANFL and Reserves sides.

South Adelaide Panthers football manager Warren Ploengers said that it is important for the club to have as many local players in the teams as possible.

“Its a focus for the club to create an opportunity for local players and make a pathway for them to the SANFL and AFL.”

Currently the Panthers SANFL side sits in fifth position on the ladder with nine wins and seven losses.

A win this round would potentially move the Panther to fourth, if current fourth ranked team North Adelaide go down to first placed Norwood.
