Giveaways will be up for grabs at Goolwa Parkrun this weekend as the nation-wide organisation celebrates 40 Parkruns set up in its first year of operation.

Goolwa Parkrun was launched on April 28 and was the 20th of the 40 which have kicked off.

It was able to begin with the help of Medibank’s Free + Active program, and is now held every Saturday at 8am.

To celebrate the milestone, and highlight the success of the Goolwa weekly parkrun event, locals are invited to check out the event on Saturday, August 25, where there will be celebratory giveaways for parkrun attendees.

In July alone, almost 300 different people ran/ walked and wheeled their way along the Goolwa Parkrun course.

Goolwa Parkrun is held at Richard Ballard Park on Liverpool Road (opposite Richards Street).
