The Mudlarks showed no mercy to Yankalilla on Saturday as they ran away easy winners by 97 points.
It did not start well for the Tigers with Myponga/Sellicks blitzing them in the first term booting 7-2 to just three points to put to bed any contest.
Brad Merrett was imposing himself up forward and the Yankalilla side had no amswers to Miller, Wade Hutchinson, Ogilvie and Carroll.
It did not get any better for the Tigers in the second term as the Mudlark defence would let nothing through and the visitors (Myponga/Sellicks) still scored 3-2 to lead by 58 points at halftime.
Yankalilla did not have a goal to their name at the long break, while the Mudlarks had booted 10. The third quarter was an arm wrestle as the Tigers showed plenty of fight.
Garner, McCallum, McConnell, Matty Wilson, Shute and Laba all tried to lift the Tigers and they held the Mudlarks to 2-5 and managed their first goal of the game. The margin at three quarter time was 69 points.
In the last term it was Brad Merrett on show up front and his brother Matt playing well every time he went near the football. Stone, Miller, Carroll, Wade Hutchinson and Ogilvie were on fire and they kicked 5-6 for the term to the Tigers 1-2 to win by 97 points. The Mudlarks at their best can rival any in the competition.
