The new clubrooms at the Victor Harbor oval will be completed by the end of October, with the official opening date to be in January 2019. Construction is on time and on budget, which is a credit to the Board, the Victor Harbor RSL, Victor Harbor Football Club and construction manager Grant Retallick.

The club is now focussing on providing landscaping and pathways where the existing canteen and toilet block (to be demolished) are located.

Chairman of the Victor Harbor RSL & Football Club Management Board Jeffrey Lucy said the club see this as an important project to properly complement the new clubrooms. The paved Memorial area will include the erection of three flagpoles.

“To recognise the significance of the RSL relocating to our new clubhouse in this Centenary Year of Armistice Celebrations, a Department of Veterans’ Affairs Grant towards the establishment of a landscaped Memorial Area has been received,” he said. “Now, we need funding to finish the landscaping and paving project.”

The club is presenting an opportunity for the community to ‘Buy a Paver’ for $100 where your name will be permanently displayed. For more information contact Mike McRae on 0404 111 551. or email: mcraemc@adam.com.au

You will receive a Certificate of Ownership and be listed on the club website. This limited opportunity will close on Friday, November 9.
