South Adelaide Football Club have managed to take out fourth position in the minor premiership after beating Woodville West Torrens, leaving them in good spirits for the finals.
After finishing sixth on the ladder last year, making sure they put in a better performance to secure a finals position was critical this year.
Football Manager Warren Ploenges said that this year the players have re-established and strongly adhered to their team trademarks; values that as a group they believe in and use to drive improvement and fall back on when times are tough.
“Pleasingly we have seen our experienced players perform at or near their previous best but our growth as a Team has come from 1st and 2nd year players.”
Despite have tough times including a 3-streak loss to clubs outside of the top five, the club are focused and prepared for finals.
South Adelaide will now take on North Adelaide in an elimination final at Adelaide Oval.
