Encounter Lutheran student Noah Brown from Victor Harbor represented the country in basketball

ACHIEVER: Noah Brown represented The Southern Sons in basketball in Hawaii and returned home undefeated winning in the Under 15 Division.

ACHIEVER: Noah Brown represented The Southern Sons in basketball in Hawaii and returned home undefeated winning in the Under 15 Division.

Fourteen year old Noah Brown has recently returned from the big island of Hawaii where he has competed in the World Youth Basketball Tournament. 

Noah’s team was called The Southern Sons and consisted of country basketball players from New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia and led by New South Wales coach Grant Cole and assisted by Malen Brown (Noah’s big brother).

Noah competed hard in the heat and humidity and his Southern Sons team played against teams from California, Los Angeles, Maui and Hawaii. 

Noah’s team won all their games to win the Under 15 Division of the Worth Youth Games. The team were heavily supported in Hawaii by their families, including Noah’s parents, grandparents and friends whom also made the trip. 

Noah is a Year 9 student at Encounter Lutheran College and part of their Basketball Program. 

He plays local basketball for Saints Basketball Club and District Basketball for the Adelaide Hills club, Eastern Mavericks.
